Testimonials

  • "Roxie is a wonderful yoga teacher and person! Her kindness and gentle warmth creates a safe space for new moms.  Roxie tailors her classes to meet the needs of the attendees and the various postpartum ailments they are dealing with. Roxie facilitates a group check in at the beginning of each postnatal yoga class, which promotes a sense of community and allows for the sharing of knowledge and support. I am so grateful for the group of friends I made at Roxie’s classes. Our group has stayed in touch and has continued to do a weekly group chat check-in! Roxie incorporates several meaningful songs and poems in her classes. My little one loves the butterfly song Roxie sings, so much so that it is now apart of his bedtime routine!"

  • "I joined Roxie’s prenatal yoga class at the beginning of my second trimester and attended all the way through my pregnancy, as well as taking part in her Yin yoga class when I was a few months post partum. Roxie is such a gentle soul and cares about each of her students. I looked forward to class every week as a way to nourish my body and spirit and reset my mind. I truly believe that the opportunity to practice listening to my body and centering on my breath enabled me to stay calm and confident through my unmedicated homebirth, even as a first time mom! On top of the yoga, she provided a lot of information about pregnancy, labour and birth as well as connections to different services and professionals around town. I will forever be grateful for this time with Roxie, the learning she facilitated, and the way that shaped my first steps into motherhood.”

  • "The stars lined up when we found Roxie! Roxie is not only a wonderful yoga instructor she is an amazing human being. My daughter has Down Syndrome and we had been searching for quite some time to find a yoga instructor who had the ability, skill set, flexibility and compassion to teach yoga to my daughter. Roxie was able to modify the yoga to work at Gracie’s level, where she was receiving the physical benefits of balance, core strength etc. all the while making it really fun and engaging. My daughter just adores Roxie, and she couldn’t wait to go to yoga class and have fun!"

  • “I joined prenatal yoga with Roxie at the start of my third trimester an had the most incredible experience. Roxie’s classes were a great way to get a little bit of exercise and relaxation during a time when my body really needed the extra care. Roxie went above and beyond by providing a little instruction at the start of class and fostering community by creating discussion topics with the other soon-to-be mothers. I came out of her classes feeling refreshed, relaxed, and heart-warmed. The best part - when my baby was born, I was able to bring her with me to Roxie’s Baby and Me Yoga classes and continue building relationships with other mothers!

  • "Roxie is an amazing part of Victoria's postpartum community. I attended her yoga with my son as a first-time mom and it was such a great group of new mamas. Sometimes there wasn't a ton of yoga going on in my body as I was chasing my now crawling baby, but I still loved the time set aside on my Friday mornings to connect with other amazing women. Roxie is such a great energy to be around and I love the space she held for us. It was so much more than yoga. Movement in my "new" body was gently guided by her calming voice and I'm forever thankful for her care and relaxed environment. Gonna be a little late? Still come. Going to be REALLY late due to adjusting to morning naps? Doesn't matter, you're still welcomed with open arms. Thank you Roxie for sharing your expertise and community with me”

  • Roxie's mom and babe yoga classes were such a grounding influence in my postpartum journey. No matter what kind of week I was having, I knew I could show up and find an incredibly supportive group of moms, some movement, and lots of humour and celebration of the hard and wonderful parts of early motherhood. Roxie does a wonderful job providing lots of modifications to meet all kinds of postpartum fitness levels. Her teaching style is calm but also so relatable and she doesn't hesitate to crack a joke or follow the babies' lead when they all decide to cry in the middle of class. I highly recommend her classes for any new or expectant parent!

  • Roxie is an amazing Instructor. She comes equipped with a wealth of knowledge in both body and mind. She is always offering a variety of modifications to fit any and all body types and fitness levels, whether that be, prenatal (for every trimester), postnatal (for each and every recovery stage), beginner, advanced or intermediate. She constantly surprises me with her acute understanding and knowledge of the anatomy of the human body. In the studio, Roxie is a relaxing, calming presence, who carefully and maticulously crafts and guides you through a gentle practice. Outside of the studio, Roxie is an adventurous and loud spirit, equipped with a boisterous laugh and a hilarious personality that is sure to captivate you. I 12/10 recommend Roxie to anyone and everyone. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

  • As a first time mom I would highly recommend joining Roxie’s postpartum classes. I was a little anxious to leave the house with my baby in the early days but Roxie made us feel so comfortable and there was zero pressure to actually do any yoga if baby needed us. It gave me the confidence to BF (breastfeed) in public or deal with a crying baby in public! Just a group of moms all going through the same thing!
